Our History

Inspired by the urgent need to deliver climate science information and services to those making decisions on their risks in a changing climate, now more than ever, Climate Central is stepping up to provide trusted, actionable information where it is most needed. To meet this challenge, Climate Central has drawn on its world-class science and content generation and recruited the nation’s best to deliver services to both nonprofit and revenue-generating audiences around the world.

Our Growth

Climate Central’s leading experts in service delivery are focused on co-developing tools and resources that meet the information needs for key sectors of the world economy. Our services and tools are used by coastal managers, sustainability officers, health officials, engineers, insurers, local governments, and many others. The Climate Services Program builds on this foundation, scaling our reach to serve an even broader set of users working to determine their risk in a changing climate
