Leah Campbell

Leah Campbell joined Climate Central in 2026 as Writer and Associate Editor. In her role, she coordinates editorial operations for Climate Matters and contributes written content across the organization. She is passionate about helping people understand complex science and increasing community resilience to climate change and extreme weather. Prior to joining Climate Central, Leah managed science communications for Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences and the National Drought Mitigation Center. She holds a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University, an M.S. in Science Writing from M.I.T., and a certificate in Natural Hazards Resilience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
