Gabriela Bitar is a creative science communicator, social media expert, and digital media strategist. At Climate Central, she serves as the Social Media and Digital Content Creator – leading organization-wide social media.

Driven by curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility to make the world a better place, Gabriela is passionate about the overlap between people and our planet. Growing up in Florida, she has experienced firsthand the impacts of a changing climate – from grueling summer heat to powerful hurricanes. Gabriela holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Mass Communications from the University of Florida. Aspiring to inspire awareness and action, she blends her scientific expertise with powerful storytelling to translate complex topics – like climate science, the ocean, and nature – into digestible, compelling content for diverse audiences across social media, email campaigns, and digital platforms.

Prior to joining Climate Central, Gabriela led strategic social media and communications efforts at organizations like the UN Environment Programme and the World Wildlife Fund, as well as at climate-focused events on the national and global stage.
