Kaitlyn Trudeau

Senior Research Associate, Climate Science

Kaitlyn Trudeau is the senior research associate for climate science at Climate Central. Based in Sacramento, she leads the organization's fire weather research and analyses of West Coast climate impacts. As a member of the Climate Matters and Science teams, Kaitlyn is passionate about science communication and has deep experience working directly with Climate Central media partners to research and produce stories.

Before joining Climate Central in 2018, Kaitlyn worked as a cartographer for California State Parks and spent time volunteering for the Earthwatch Institute in Churchill, Manitoba, studying the effects of climate change on the northern treeline.

Kaitlyn holds a B.A. in Physical Geography from California State University, Sacramento and a M.S. from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she studied climate change in the Arctic region.
