Megan Martin


Megan Martin is a Multimedia Designer and Meteorologist at Climate Central. She has a B.S. in Meteorology and a B.A. in Visual Arts, both of which are from Rutgers University. Through her studies of atmospheric science and graphic design she has developed an interest in the communication of science to nonscientists. Prior to joining Climate Central, Martin worked for the Office of the New Jersey State Climatologist as a research assistant focusing on communication of climate data through print design. 


Wildfires in the West In 2006, wildfires burned seven million acres in the West, the equivalent area of five of the country's largest national parks.
