‘This Week’ Zeroes in on Climate & Climate Central’s Cullen

Repost This

With the East Coast under a seeming barrage of ice and snow this winter and parts of the West facing record drought, Climate Central chief climatologist Heidi Cullen was front and center on "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos talking about climate change and extreme weather. Cullen was joined by North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, ABC News senior meteorologist Ginger Zee, and ABC News chief business and economics correspondent Rebecca Jarvis.

Yeah, we’ve got climate change but we’ll innovate our way out.  Essentially, the plan is business as usual with some minor adjustments.  It’s called minimizing. I admit the problem but at a far lesser level than reality.  There’s a 100 foot tsunami on the horizon and I’ll get out a canoe.  The implied promise was the same old American arrogance in the belief that we are way too smart for this problem.  Couple of round abouts, Levi using less water and cleaning up the environment will take care of this problem.  No need to worry here.
