When scientists found a strong link between lung cancer and smoking, Big Tobacco got busy confusing the public to protect profit. 60 Minutes and other news outlets have re-shined the spotlight on that industry created confusion.
This article looks like something the same. “On one hand, global warming may cause droughts, but on the other hand maybe not.”
Baloney. I live in California and can see what global warming caused by excess use of fossil fuel is doing to my only planet. Its getting drier and hotter by the year. Yes, maybe we have a season of some rain, but we all know damned well the water is going away fast. We’re living on ground water to a great extent in Santa Barbara County.
In the example of the deadly deception on effects smoking actual scientists were recruited to muddy the subject for decades while millions of Americans died of lung cancer. Willie Soon, a top climate scientist at Harvard was caught a few years ago taking $1.3 million to deceive the public about global warming. (look it up).
Visiting the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington, D. C. in 2014, we found no exhibit nor clear mention of how global warming is killing living plants and animals on earth! That’s our national museum of natural history!
But we did see a huge banner in the entry hall expressing extreme gratitude to the Koch brothers for their huge donations to the museum. What an outrage. I wrote the museum management and got a mealy mouth non-answer. I assume my own taxes also support this museum working to deceive millions of visitors about highly important subjects such as global warming.
So, beware of the climate information you are fed by any organization. The Sierra Club founded by a wonderful environmentalist, John Muir, was caught red handed by Time Magazine in 2012 “secretly” taking $26 million from a fossil fuel natural gas company - Chesapeake Energy. The Sierra Club is corrupt and suspect the same of financially fat other “environment” groups like Green Peace, Friends of the Earth, and others (Time Magazine, please get busy on all large “environmental” groups with their luxury offices across the world.)
We live in a highly corrupt age, folks. We’re basically we are on our own to stop or slow global warming, the greatest threat to our planet ever. Do your part. Read widely from scientists like James Lovelock (UK) (“The Vanishing Face of Gaia”) and America’s top climate scientist, James Hansen. Reading will help you see the truth.
