Dyonishia (Nishia) Nieves is the Program on Sea Level Rise Fellow at Climate Central. She holds a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University.
Her senior thesis investigated the effects of historical drought on the ability of ponderosa pine trees to defend themselves from bark beetles via the annual production of resin ducts. Before joining Climate Central, she worked as a teaching assistant for a high school field course on environmental studies, as part of the Lang Science Program at the American Museum of Natural History.
