Kasturi Shah

Science

Kasturi Shah is a Data Science High Meadows Fellow at Climate Central, and works with the Research and World Weather Attribution teams. Shah received her B.A. in Physics from Princeton University with certificates in Latin American Studies and the Visual Arts. She conducted her senior thesis research on modeling freshwater supply from high-altitude glaciers at NOAA’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory. Shah is also currently a research assistant at Columbia University’s Water Centre where she models global food networks under extreme climate conditions. She enjoys playing rugby and mountaineering, and volunteers with Engineers without Borders for NY’s water and sanitation programs.
