Josh Arinze, Development Communications Officer, is responsible for crafting and editing a wide range of written materials that enhance Climate Central's engagement with its current and potential donors. A highly skilled writer and storyteller, Josh works with the development team on proposals, stewardship reports, program summaries, project overviews, letters of inquiry, web content, and much, much more.
Previously, Josh was a development writer in the Office of Strategic Communications at the University of Maryland, College Park. Before that, he worked for 16 years in Georgetown University's advancement office, initially conducting prospect research and eventually becoming the assistant director of presidential correspondence, drafting donor communications, development collaterals and speeches for Georgetown’s president. During this time, Josh also earned an M.A. from Georgetown in liberal studies, with a concentration in international affairs.
His other past roles include working as a news copy editor at two daily newspapers: The Morning Call (in Allentown, PA) and Newsday (in Long Island, NY).
Josh began his professional career as a journalist in Nigeria, after earning his bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.
