Storm Spotting

Storm Spotting
Program Summary

Dr. Jack Beven explains his work at the National Hurricane Center. He plugs observational data from satellites and other sources into computer models that help predict where a storm is going to go, and how strong it may be when it gets there. These models help Beven and his colleagues issue hurricane warnings that keep people out of harms way, protecting lives and property.
