Sublette on Baseball & Climate with Weather Underground
Program Summary

Our Sean Sublette talked with Weather Underground on the Weather Channel about how a changing climate will affect the future of baseball, from the seasonal temperature trends to the health of players and fans.

"In some places you see a very wide swing in those temperatures from opening day to their peak in the middle of the season," Sublette said to Mike Bettes.

Extreme heat can also affect a baseball player's performance. "As we've seen the climate continue to warm, not only does it get hotter during the high summer, but the humidity comes up, which is further going to stress the body."
