Carbon Capture and Sequestration off the NJ Coast

Carbon capture and sequestration starts by capturing and liquefying CO2. Then the liquefied CO2 is pumped through a pipeline to a suitable storage site. Sites can be located underground, or beneath the ocean floor, as in this sandstone chamber under the New Jersey coast, shown in this microanimation.
