Time-Lapse Video of Boulder’s Flagstaff Fire

Repost This

This extraordinary time-lapse video — best viewed in fullscreen mode — shows smoke (and at night, flames) from the Flagstaff fire burning in the mountains above Boulder, Colo., from shortly after the lightning-triggered blaze began last Tuesday until Thursday morning. By Thursday night, officials declared the blaze 40 percent contained, with a good chance it would be fully contained over the weekend. But they also said pockets of fire would likely persist deep within the 300-acre burn area for as long as several months.
