Here is a screen shot from NOAA's new and improved Historical Hurricane Tracking tool that allows you to explore the more than 6,000 tropical cyclones that have occurred since 1842 in seven major ocean basins around the world. To begin, simply enter in your zip code, the storm name, the year or the ocean basin you are interested in.
